TOPIC: WHAT IS LEADERSHIP?
SUB: Leadership is Responsibility

It is not new that the most common way of defining leadership is responsibility. In TILO, we see responsibility as being primary to leadership. In fact, we do say that "if as a leader, you are not responsible for something then you are not a leader"

Responsibility is a TASK. It connotes a mind to deal with or take care of something for somebody or somebody for something.

Responsibility presupposes the readiness of giving account of whatever is in your care. When, as a leader, you are responsible for something, both the commendation and the condemnation of whatever you are responsible for, you take.

A responsible leader doesn't put blames of whatever happens to what he takes here o,f on others. If you will agree with us, responsibility isn't an easy task in leadership. This is because there are times that your followers will do some things unknown to you as a leader, if anything happens, negatively or positively, it is your responsibility.
